Whenever i see insects dead, i always see it being upside down and always on their backs.

I occasionally see them on their fronts, but when they're dead, their legs curl under them, making them unstable and top heavy. That's probably why they end up on their backs.

the first guy is right. insects (and spiders) legs curl up when they die (or get dehydrated) so they usually end up falling over and on their backs. most insects do not get trapped on their backs almost all of them can flip themselves over.

Because insects are so dumb if they get pushed on their back they can't get up again so they die.
