Perhaps take her out for walks ? to the park lands away from her environment...on a holiday ? The main thing is to keep communicating . If too difficult ask her when she can talk about things in general. How is your father coping ? Get his help if possible. Maybe she needs to live away from him for awhile. You can only do so much but keep trying perhaps with more help your father's, the doctor's ,someone else of importance hopefully your caring will be of benefit but eventually you have to consider your own life as well.....

Your mom obviously needs help. Medication can help if it is the correct type and dosage. Get some help from a health professional. When communicating, speak calmly and slowly but normally and do not allow her to see she got a reaction out of you. Do not challenge, but just accept what she has to say, and keep neutral. MAy God bless you and your mother.

Your dad is not helping the situation even to me he sounds guilty. If he says he won't admit guilt unless you can prove it then he is guilty.
If your mum really has schizoprenia then you will have to give her lots of lean way.
