My words will be the same as Pope John Paul II:
"I have looked for you all my life and now you have come to me. I thank you."

I love you.
A long time ago I thought that love was something that you reserved for some special set of people that you had judged worthy of it.
After a while I got to thinking about what Jesus had said about turning the other cheek and loving our neighbor I put the two together and realized that he had made no exceptions in these statements. It became obvious to me that he intended that we exclude no one from the love that we are supposed to be giving. I started thinking about my idea of love and suddenly realized that I had not been loving anyone at all. I had simply been judging everyone and every thing.
Judging someone worthy of love is not love, it is only judgment. I actually started to cry when I realized this. I saw just how much of my life I had wasted being judgmental, thinking of myself as a Christian, when I was actually doing just the opposite of what Jesus had asked us to do.
I thought about the verse judge not lest ye be judged, and I understood it for the first time.
I realized that I have a lot of catching up to do. So many opportunities were wasted. I now try to apply the love that I have for the world in a universal way like Jesus asks us to do.
If I start to feel afraid and think that I see someone that I should not love because of something I have thought or heard I try to catch my mistake as soon as possible. I tell myself that I have forgot the truth and have fallen for the same old trick that had cost me so many opportunities to be loving in the past. The horror of this realization is often all that is necessary to bring me back to my senses and make me drop the judgmental nonsense I was thinking.
I still have a lot to learn about love, but at least I’m making progress.

Well I remember the last words of my late grandmother who passed away in the 1980s. Her husband "Billy" had passed away a few years before. And the nurse said her last words were "Why Billy, you're here".
All my immediate family that I grew up with has passed away. I'll tell my my wife, daughter, and three sons and those living "hey you I'll be away from you for a short time and I'll be waiting for you on the other side". I think of Jesus last words to his disciples where he said "he was going to prepare a place for us". I suppose his years as a carpenter's son really helped in that sense.
That is an awesome question.
Peace.

(I think Spike's was "I told THEM I was ill") But anyway it is his epitaph, not his final words. So you can go and look if you want.
I always quite liked those of (believe this or not) Gen. John Sedgwick, Battle of Spotsylvania, 1864 (or was it 3?) (U.S. Civil War) while looking over the parapet at enemy lines . .
"They couldn't hit an elephant at this dist . . ."
Oscar Wilde's are possibly the most famous, though. On looking at the wallpaper . . .
"One of us has got to go!"
Me? Maybe: "Perhaps I shouldn't have come here!"

Don't be silly, it's only a cold.
If I had enough breath, I would probably say something trite like: Give peace a chance.
A bit more profound would be: Judge not, that you shall not be judged.
I did my best.
Well, that's that then.

I would say to my Precious Son that I love him more than life itself but I tell him that now but just to be sure he knows though it would be the last thing I would say on my dying breath.

I think it would depend on how I died. I would say something a long the lines of " tell my family and friends that I love them and will Miss them..."
