both are important in cricket...
if a team's batting is excellent and can score 370 easily in 50 overs, if their bowling is lousy then the opposition will have no trouble chasing that score which seems to be a huge mountain...
a team must be good at both....weak in one part will affect the other....

It is fully dependent ones interest and talent. While batting is less strenous, bowling needs more physical effort and chances of getting injury are much more than the batsman.
