I've been doing a bit of research into Islam, Sharia Law, etc. and I even saw a video of a stoning that was carried out in Iran. Obviously it was deeply disturbing, but what I found to be even more disturbing is the assertion that 37% of British Muslims would like to see Sharia Law imposed here.
Now, I am sure that there are lots of angry people on this website who are going to post me a lot of abuse about how I am a racist, which is usually the case; or that the British Press is biased (compared to Al Jazeera, for example?), but I really would like to hear from some muslims who actually DO want to see Sharia Law in Britain. I would like to know WHY they would like to see it, WHY they think there is the least justification for it and WHY they live here if they feel that way?

Hello, thier, i am a Muslim, i dont think the shira laws should be brought in to a western country, as well of which, we are in the 21st century, were islam believes, in peace, and nothing but peace, i am a strong believer, never drank, etc. Some extremist should leave iof they arent happy. I came to England back in 96, it provied free eduaction for me, free, medicen, it gave me a house, etc. And now its time to pay them back, i work for the Embassy. I am a reguler vister of the mosque, i know many people, who think the same of me, extremist, should go to iran, or what ever, they are a shame to islam. In the quran* it says that you should saw, the foreiner, westerens that islam is a religion of peace, and not backwarss, to put it in simple words, as you see the brothers and sisters are dogn the opposite, growing beards wearing veils etc, the hijad is normal to wear, dont get me wrong. and the extremist prechures, should leave, they claim benifts and talk about how bad the Brits are, then why have u came here, i will tell you why i came here, i was treated ;like a dog back home, watch the message, its a film showing how islam started, and what ppl should think of it. i dont agree with the war in iraq but i dont stair racial hatred, its against article 236 in the UN charter for god sake it goes against all will of islam, islam says to respect, any of who, Jew, Christian, Sike etc...

Its funny Muslims flee their home countries for a better life in the UK, but then it would appear that the next generations of muslims born here dont want to integrate and turn to promoting their religion and promoting laws that they have never experienced and dont understand.
If they want it so much they should ask the government to have religion stamped in their passports - then if a muslim commits a crime they are punished with Sharia law, otherwise non muslims will be punished with British law.
I believe we would see a lot of religious converts pleading to be non-muslim.
The younger muslims are simply trying to be rebelious, but are only making themselves look stuck hundreds of years in the past.

No i do not think such laws should come here but i do not think we should criticise they way other countries practise they laws. It may seem barbaric to us in the west but hey look here you can interfere with kid's rape. murder. run some one over. And if the victims family is lucky they may see in get justice but you can bet that most of them don't even go to prison and when they do we all have to pay for it. they get education free and learn allot more about crime come out then get extra help. So tell me have we got the right to say that they are wrong? coz i know one thing for sure this country when it comes's to law is so very wrong.

i am not a muslim and do not agree in sharia law our laws are based on the magna carta and would hope that barbarism will never prevail in these islands

You only have to look at western culture to understand how islam can solve many of your problems. Drunks, Drugs, teenage pregancies outside marriage etc
Eitherway, Islam is the fastest growing religion in the UK and it is only a matter of time before this becomes an Islamic country. You should become a muslim before it's too late for you.
