My motivating force in this life is Christ, whom I love and care about more than anything or anyone. My goal in life is to be a delight to God. That sounds easier said than done, and it truly is. Most of the time I fail in that respect, but at least I have the heart to let Him work in me. I would like to be a better person because of Him, what He has done for me and what He has planned for me. As for the rest of things: money, education, wealth, success, survival and love, I have almost all of them without putting them as my top goals, I think is because the Lord looks after me. "Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you".
And what is your motivating force in this life? I would be interested to hear too.

Contentment with the decisions I make in life. I do not judge others, until I have been where they are. I am generous, and I do favors, beleiveing in Karma, in hopes that people will help me out when I need help. Education....nope, I had honor grades in gr 12. That is good enough for me so far. I have known many super smart people and yet while they get great grades in school, they suck at everything else in life. Thats what I am good at, everything else, and I can only get better. Money....debt is just numbers...you cant have negative money.....I live pay check to pay check. Chose work...or family affair?? Family affair. That is what makes me happy, not being miserable at work making an extra $50 when I can be creating new memories with the ones I love. I am past survival, just getting out of the gates with success (How do you define that? everyones definitions for such things like success and wealthVARY SIGNIFICANTLY ) Love? Important. Everyone has to have someone top love in someway. You missed health. What is anything withot health. I know people take that for granted, as well as MANY other things like the ability to see, walk, hear, have running water etc.....Good times, and laughs with great company is my motivating fator.

A balance among all the factors you mentioned would be ideal and it is what I would like to have. But if it were the order of preference you would like to know, if my having them is not possible at the same time, it would be: family love, education, success and wealth.
Competitiveness would always be a part of my person but I fight fair and square, am always following the golden rule. I only do unto to others what I want others to do unto me. I don't take advantage of others, but neither do I let others do it to me. I don't suffer fools.

My motivation in life is to be complete.... Yes, it's a very broad term.
It is not just purely about money, education or love. You see... one major, major realization I had is---- there's no such thing that you can call a perfect life. I can motivate myself & strive more to achieve all the things I want but without contentment those things you've mentioned will be worthless& you will never learn how to appreciate things you have right now. We might think that life is going with us with education & all these values ingrained in our system, love or survival... or even though we know all these things, we can still make mistakes. It is a humbling experience. Maybe by contentment in all what you got is enough to say you are already complete. Hopefully, When I get to old age.. I can already tell the answers. Good luck to all of us. (--,)

Nice question!
I am very ambitious, so my goal is to be omniscient or at least know the core of life: What make you love, who creates you, what will happens when you die, why do we need science, why are we living, what is the ultimate joy, … and why have you asked this question! See, our knowledge is the most important thing and even more important is how we act upon that.
P.S. A great master said:
The noblest pleasure is the joy of understanding.
Learning never exhausts the mind.

I would say happiness, whatever makes me happy motivates me. And that would be LOVE from family and friends.
And yes, success in career too, money, and other materials things will also contribute to happiness, wouldn't life be sweet with that, if you have everything?

Simply put,I'd say my love of God,Country, and Family are the best answer I can supply to you,and I'm not ashamed of any of my answers.I stand firmly for all three, because I live for them and would give my life for all them without question or regret. But my soul belongs to God.No matter what happens to this body.Education and all other things can't be accomplished alone otherwise if you don't know how to be or willing to be trained and focused on things of the mind, body, and soul inside, because you would feel empty and worthless inside.
