HI.I am working with a company as hardware technician for last 2 years and getting sal of Rs. 5000 per month.For starting they offered me Rs. 2500.After 3 months it was Rs. 3500.After 1 year i was getting 5000.Now i have complted 2 years but still i am getting 5000 only.We have 20 computers in the company and i do maintaince of all the 20 computers.Also there is one server.

I have got one more problem i.e i dont know how to speak with others & aslo i am shy & nervos when i am sround with people.How should i approach to the boss for increment in salary .Plz help me out.God bless u

In one of John Grishms books one guy faces a similar situation and what he does is he confronts the boss and tells him the work pressure is increasing and need a salary hike to compensate and reduce the pressure. This might work since it worked for him in a hypothetical fictious situation. Grishm uses real life situations and this may be a practice many successfull people do when they need salary hikes in US. In India the things can backfire since we are a Fuedel and Monarchic culture and they can tell you to go and find a less pressurising work somewhere else.

Give your immediate boss a letter. In the letter, state the reasons why should be given a salary hike. Also, do not forget to thank him/her in advance. Be very sincere. Try to find formats of salary increase letters in the internet.
