not a game hunter myself....In school for chemical engineering.

Would think their skin might be an issue.

Their skin would preserve better due to its leatheryness....but would naturally looi like...sh it. As other people said....not much a challenge in shooting a hippo If you have a rifle and you find one...you pretty much have one in the bag.

I mean how sick is it to have a lion on your wall. ahippo??? its jus tas good as having hte fat kid from your Highschool on the wall.

no challenge in killing a hippo, and a lot of work to haul one out of the water, no great value in the skin either. Most trophy animals are predators, or prey.

They do, but they don't put it on the walls, but a lot of bags, wallets etc are made from hippo skin.
