I am a woman age 55. My husband of 4 years is 30 years of age. I was a widow when we met 10 years ago. Our friendship has always been valuable to us, and it was no ones business, of course. But once we moved in together, and later married, it seems like we are everyones concern. We have marvellous relationship, in all kinds of ways, and my son and daughter, who are a few years older than he is,love him. When my son says; dad, what do you thik about this or that??and bursts out in a laughter, It makes me laugh too, and feel good about our lives together. Bu all the questions we get by strangers sometimes, is anoying. What do people here feel about such a love story? Excuse my poor english. We live in Norway

Girl, if you love him, and he loves you, and your kid love both of you and you and your young husband love your kids, do other people really matter?

Circumstances and personally knowing the couple changes the situation. At first glance the idea is surprising because I wasn't exposed to even the possibility of such a thing happening. But well live and let live cause I can't change anything and really what's so wrong with people loving each other? You just do what you gotta do.People will come around once they get used to the idea.

I had a similar experience. I was 22 and dated a man that was 47. People were so freaked out by it! They thought he was sick, or that I was just after money and so on. Finally I explained to everyone that while I appreciate their concern the fact that I was happy should be the only thing that mattered. Same goes for you. You know in your heart if you are happy and doing the right thing. Don't EVER give that up just because some people don't understand. It's your life! And also I am from Norway!

If you love each other, don't worry about what other people think. My husband is 13 years older than I am. We have had many people make comments over the years, but it has never really bothered us.
My husband had to go for day surgery a few years ago, I went with him and while the nurse was going over registration and everything with him she wanted to make sure someone would be there to pick him up when he was ready to go home. She asked if there was a number where his daughter could be reached, referring to me. He told her I was his wife, I thought it was hilarious. As he was being wheeled down the hall to surgery, I blew him a kiss and said "Love you Daddy"
If your family can accept him, who cares about the rest of the world? Be thankful you have found love and happiness.

nooooo if your happy and your children except him and know that he makes you happy then it shouldnt matter what anyone else thinks. poeole just like to judge, it makes them look better. dont worry about it, just live your life however you want. im 37 and my husband is 28. ok I know thats not as big of a difference but still a difference. Just be happy, not too many 55 year old women luckey enough to get a 30 year old man. mabey the strangers are just jelous.

When you meet people get the questions out of the way first. People are not always that judgmental, just curious, and maybe jealous sometimes. You can't alter other people, just yourselves.
Make a few cradle snatching jokes, but don't let others spoil your happiness.

Your a lucky women. It is not "the wrong way" if you are happy. People are jealouse of you if they say tsk. tsk. . It is very hard to find happiness and contentment in life, so just enjoy it.
If strangers have the nerve to ask you questions, then tell them to get a life, and butt out of your life.

If it works, (and 25 years difference? kudos to you) to hell with what anyone else thinks. You two are the one's who have to live together. If it works, great!
I've dated older women and it has been wonderful. Really, really wonderful. Experience matters.
