What is it in the truth that makes reality possible? Is truth not just a mental construct?

It's all a mental construct.

This is more easily understandable if one considers the actual scale of the components of an atom. If one takes into account the fact that the neutrons, protons and electrons of an atom actually have huge spaces between them it becomes clear that the atoms that make up seemingly solid objects are made up of 99+ percent empty space.

This alone does not seem too important till you add the idea that the atoms that make up seemingly solid objects are more of a loose conglomeration that share a similar attraction but never really touch each other.

At first glance this does not really seem relevant, but closer analysis reveals that this adds a tremendous amount of empty space to solid objects that are already made up of atoms that are 99 percent space. When so-called solid objects are seen in this light it becomes apparent that they can in no way be the seemingly solid objects they appear to be.

We ourselves are not exceptions to this phenomenon.

These seemingly solid objects are more like ghostly images that we interpret as solid objects based on our perceptual conclusions.

From this we must conclude that Perception is some sort of a trick that helps us to take these ghostly images and turn them into a world we can associate and interact with. This clever device seems to be a creation of our intellect that enables us to interact with each other in what appears to be a three dimensional reality.

I hope that helps to answered your question.

Your question is worded a little funny. I don't understand if you mean 'what is the truth such that it makes reality possible' or if you're saying 'what truthfully makes reality possible?'

Anyhow, I'll try to answer the question. Reality is what is, what exists, and I take truth to mean the perception or understanding of reality. But since truth is for-something, namely, the perceiver, that means that truth and reality are actually the same thing. Reality is what exists, and truth is its understanding.

Now, to ask what makes reality possible is a difficult question to tackle. I would say that reality doesn't need anything to make it possible, it is, it exists. It is not dependent on anything. Reality is not possible, it is what exists, period.

How's that?

What is in the truth that makes a reality possible is the attainment of something that is good as has been reasoned out by our mind, decided good for our free-will to take actions onto, and compatible to bodily desires, functions and wants. Truth is something that is satisfyingly good to those three components of man. We make it a reality because man, by nature is aimed at achieving what is good for him, no matter if it is not good for others, and this is the object of truth- that is what is good.

I think that reality makes truth possible. Truth is hypothesizes that are correct about reality. Reality is what is correct.

if its not truth. it is fantasy to the truth sometimes when we dream and its a fantasy there is elements that it could be possible to the truth .in hindsight only you cam make it happen and only you can distinguish what is possible and what is not any unrealistic expectations can also give you a false interpretation. what you have to do is be reasonable and be articulate in what you see as truth
