By the way, not everyone who shoots themselves that way dies of their wounds.

In a literal sense, yes. Suicide is technically the act of causing one's own death. It would be considered indirect suicide because it wasn't the person's main intention (to cause death). However, in a more psychological perspective, it would be less likely called suicide, unless there is supporting evidence that the person was intent on dying and used this game as a means to an end.

in the movie "the deer hunter" the characer portrayed by christopher walken played the game just so that he could kill himself. to be quite honest i feel that if you play a game, in this case russian roulette, that has a possible outcome of death, to me, i consider suicide.
