What happens to the brain? Is a certain chemical in the brain stuck/trapped causing a build-up and then in time an explosion causing a person to go insane? Or is their a chemical that is released to soon or not released, causing a person to go insane? I'm very sure that im wrong, so what causes a person to go "bonkers"? I know that someone has to witness a horrifying/unbelievable act to do so, but there is more to it then that.

Has it even been studied yet?

Thank you.

The brain works like a group of switches that connect and disconnect making paths for flow of bio-electricity.
in the normal brain all the switches function in a healthy manner, this produces the meaning full out come in the transaction. If due to any reason the functioning is disturbed then either some part of the brain does not function or this produces the meaningless out come in the transaction. the confusion resulting there of is not meaning full to the rest of the persons or to the victim himself.
as the brain is responsible for the functioning of all the glands and parts there may be improper working of these. there by the vital fluids may not be produced in the quantity as required by the organs.

The most common diagnoses for mental illness are schizophrenia, major depression and bipolar disorder. These are all caused by imbalances in certain neurotransmitters that are usually genetically determined--most people who suffer from these diseases have a close relative who also has the disease.

Schizophrenia and bipolar disorders usually strike young adults. There does not have to be a precipitating cause, but they may present during periods of extreme stress or as a result of drug and alcohol abuse. Sometimes certain people feel that their lives lack something so they become involved with drugs to patch the hole in their hearts, if you know what I mean.

Frequently, a person will start on antidepressants and the drug will elicit a manic response after just a few doses--this person has bipolar disorder rather than simple depression, and treatment usually demands confinement in a mental health facility for a month or so.

Clinical depression is the most common mental illness. It can become so severe that the person loses all desire to do anything. It can happen at any time and is often brought on by childbirth or a tragic event in their lives.

The good news is that all of these conditions are now treatable with medication and therapy. Mental illness is losing the stigma that it once had. The horror stories that you read about in old novels (Ex. ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST) are a thing of the past. One day science will have diagnostic technigues and designer
drugs that will pinpoint and cure the causes. Hope I've answered your question. The study of the workings of the mind can be a very rewarding thing to do. It helps you to become a more empathetic human being.

no extra advantageous than Marilyn Manson motives human beings to shoot others. The insanity makes a individual extra suggestible to a particular concept, which probably they already had besides. It purely brings it to the leading part. And faith, nor lack thereof, isn't insanity. people who have faith so of course have not seen the tragedy of psychological ailment.
