Actually, it is a theory based in science but there aren't statistics to back it up. Here is the reasoning:
Sperm either carry an X or Y chromosome, which will combine with a mother's X chromosome to either form a girl (XX) or a boy (XY). If you have ever seen a picture of the actual chromosomes maginifed, it is obvious to see that X chromosomes are bigger and sturdier than Y chromosomes. Researchers have theorized that as a man (and his sperm) get older, the more delicate Y chromosomes will become fragile and possibly broken. This could prevent the sperm from moving well, or result in an inability to properly fertilize an egg. Since the Xs are sturdier, they seem to hold up better as a man ages.
That said, while science has come up with this theory that seems to make sense, the numbers don't back it up.

Nope. If that were true my ex's grandfather would have eventually had a daughter because his last son was born when he was almost 60 years old...MY daughter is the first natural born female in the family in 5 generations and her father was 29 when she was concived.

I have always seen the research that claims that if a man has a very physical hard job they will have a girl, if they have more of an easy job they will have a boy.

I think it is true because the sperm that make girls are better swimmers than the male sperms. As a man gets older his sperm may slow down or there may not be as many sperm. Either way it's more likely that a girl sperm will get thru first.

Not at all, someone was pulling your leg. age is scientifically not correlated to the sex of offspring.
on another note:
What, is that supposed to mean that young strong men can father sons and weak old men who are at the end of their rope can pretty much mostly father girls? what does that say about our societies views of the worth of females vs. males?! How disgusting.
