You work as a team. Have a meeting and ask for their opinions on how your tasks can be improved. You will learn better ways on how to carryout the work and as they put forward these ideas they will want to prove that their way of work is best. Your team will feel more important and valued.

Find the source of the low morale. you or the previous manager. I always take full responsability for everything that happens on the floor; if there's a problem, what did I miss? Shoddy system, unfair practices, etc.
Then change the problems.

And if you feel disappointed and frustrated, you do not have your head inthe game. F' ing lead! You have the power to change everything, the reins are in your hands. Drive the god damn cart!
