Can anyone help me, I need to allow cookies into my computer.
I can remember choosing to NOT allow them not long ago, thinking it was a safer option, but I can't remember where the option was so I can allow them again.
Thanks in advance.

If you're using a standard version of internet explorer:

-Select the 'Tools' menu at the top of your screen
-Choose 'Internet Options'
-Go to the 'Privacy' tab at the top of the screen
-Click on the 'Advanced' button
-Check the box for 'Overide Automatic Cookie Handling'
-You can choose 'Accept' for 1st and/or 3rd party cookies (first party cookies are usually for the website you are visiting i.e. a secure online banking site may require that you accept 1st party cookies to allow them to erase your data after it is viewed, 3rd party cookies are often other websites trying to track your browsing history to provide demographic specific advertising). You can also check the box for 'Always allow session cookies.'
-Keep in mind that not ALL cookies are bad, but it doesn't hurt to regularly clear your cache and cookies from the general tab in 'Internet Options.'

Hope this helps!

Cookies are files that are stored on your computer by some websites. They're usually used to keep track of information about you (for example, your user name, password, or the contents of your shopping cart). Internet Explorer privacy settings let you specify which cookies you want to allow to be stored on your computer.

To change your privacy settings

In Internet Explorer, click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
Click the Privacy tab, and then move the slider to the level of privacy you prefer.

Click on tools, internet options, privacy and then set it lower. I find medium or medium high works quite well, set it too high and you get problems accessing certain web-sites, also you may not be able to save your password automatically if it is set too high. Hope this helps! X
