It's not a religion its a science.
This is more easily understandable if one considers the actual scale of the components of an atom. If one takes into account the fact that the neutrons, protons and electrons of an atom actually have huge spaces between them it becomes clear that the atoms that make up seemingly solid objects are made up of 99+ percent empty space.
This alone does not seem too important till you add the idea that the atoms that make up seemingly solid objects are more of a loose conglomeration that share a similar attraction but never really touch each other.
At first glance this does not really seem relevant, but closer analysis reveals that this adds a tremendous amount of empty space to solid objects that are already made up of atoms that are 99 percent space. When so-called solid objects are seen in this light it becomes apparent that they can in no way be the seemingly solid objects they appear to be.
We ourselves are not exceptions to this phenomenon.
These seemingly solid objects are more like ghostly images that we interpret as solid objects based on our perceptual conclusions.
From this we must conclude that Perception is some sort of a trick that helps us to take these ghostly images and turn them into a world we can associate and interact with. This clever device seems to be a creation of our intellect that enables us to interact with each other in what appears to be a three dimensional reality.
I hope that helps to answered your question.
Love and blessings Don

It isn't a religion but a British school of epistemology -- what we can really know -- called empiricism. The basic assumption is that the only knowledge we can be reasonably sure of comes from our senses.
Bishop Berkeley used your particular example but resolved it by claiming that the eye of god is always on that table (okay, in his case it was a chair). Dr Johnson's riposte -- kicking a chair, saying "I refute it thus" was clever, but not a refutation, as Johnson's chair was clearly sensed by his mind and his big toe.
David Hume was not willing to concede even as much as Berekely.
All this is certainly counterintuitive, and quite easy for people who do not grasp its concepts to ridicule. But it is far from crazy.

Hi !!!
Yes!!! It is true!!!! I worked two years ago with this guy, that was from this type of religious/sect, and that is exactly what he said!!!
They believe in re-encarnation, and they believe into living the NOW, as they now it!!! Everything else for them doesn NOT exist, until it affects them directly!!!
Extremely comvinient, isn't it????
This guy took the title of priest, and dresses in whiteand ware this colorful necklace, made of beats, to protect them, from negative forces,ONLY on Thursdays, He would dress in white. They can pick there own day to fast and do what ever it is that they do!!!
They don't belive in GOD as being a someone (like a person, for example), they call GOD to be the energy, but they do not acknowlege GOD as some one with powers. They don't belive in JESUS THE LORD, and they are vegetarians!!
He would talk about "MANTRAS" and "CHACRAS" also other "CHANTS", rituals.
I know he mention being in India, learning some of this and others stuff.
But the call themselves being "SPIRITUALISTS", "WITCHES", "PRIESTS"
In their rituals they smoke cigars, call among the dead to know the futureand guide them, read the cards, the hands, and some type of rocksand also the coffee cup.
They claim to work with positive forces of the universe, but my experience working closely with this individual, leads me to think totally the opposite.
I do remembering him , telling me that the closet that was behind me, was NOT really there, that that was an illusion, of what we want to believe. WEIRD, isn't it?????
Oh well, it was extremly dificult working with him, they think they know everything, and that there is no secrets in life they can't unviel!!!
As much as I wanted to convinced myself that he wasn't there, like the closet he said wasn't there, unfortunately he was. But he is no more!!!! Because, he quit the job!!!! Oh GOD IS GOOD!!!! Thank you LORD!!!! AMEN!!!!
After remembering this I really need to pray!!!! I think we all need to pray, so let's pray!!!!
GOD BLESS US ALL & SAVE US FROM EVIL, AMEN.
A.Z.
