yes, but u cant go and take a sp game and use it on a color

Yes it can, i know this because i had a game boy colour (and now have a DS) i cannot play game boy colour games on there i gave them to my sisters who recently got a gameboy SP and they worked but now i normally take their SP's and play the games myself!! have fun!!!

Yes, in fact I bought my GBA specifically because I wanted it to play two old GBC games (Resident Evil: Gaiden and Metal Gear), both of which run perfectly without any hassle.
