They all have wonderful dancing, but the stories are different. River Dance came first and has mostly the Celtic style dancing, along with a few others. Michael Flatley was featured in the show, but wanted to do something where he had more artistic freedom, so he put together Lord of the Dance. It's filled with wonderful Irish music and dance, tied together in an entertaining little fantasy. I saw him perform in it and he was wonderful! I've heard his ego is large, but from everything else I've heard and what I've seen, he's earned it. Feet of Flames was the next show that he put together to tour. I also saw that and loved every moment. It's wonderful watching shows with so much obvious love poured into them along with the blood, sweat and tears; and you could feel the joy that Michael Flatley felt in performing.

Michael Fflatley left River Dance because he wanted to have more control with the company which he wasn't allowed so he started his own company and employed new dancers to work with .His first production was "Lord of the Dance" followed by "Feet of Flames".
