Ok The way to find out if its the driver or no start windows in safe mode. (Just after the post and just before you see the windows loading screen press F8 and a menu should come up and select safe mode then press enter and enter again). Now if you can read the text on the screen with no fuzziness it is your video card driver. If it is still fuzzy and you are running a CRT monitor then the you can try to do a Degauss (to reset the focus on the tube) if that doesn't work then check if the cable is plunged in all the way (all 15 pins are connection or DVI pins are connecting) and have no bent pins. If all of that still doesn't work then try a different monitor. If the other monitor works without a problem then you old monitor is on the way out (broken)

Also these lines can mean that you have set the resolution to high for you monitor. Just into safe mode and change the display settings to 640x480 and click apply. Even if they are set to 640x480 click apply anyway to make the apply in normal mode.

It's the display settings, try entering in "Safe mode",on the boot screen before the Win Xp logo, believe me. That happened to me a lot.then change the display settings to a less graphic, like 16bits. if you can't do it search for a expert or someone who knows better, it's very easy.listen to Mike C above

Start in Safe mode (Keep tapping F8 key as computer boots) and see if it is OK. Icons will be larger than usual because you will not have loaded the graphics drivers but if it looks ok otherwise then the problem is likely to be your graphics drivers and you can re-install them from here. Then when you reboot all should be fine.

that will probably be the fact that you have a screen resolution problem, if you right-click on the desktop then you can alter screen properties, decrease the resolution so that everything looks a little bigger. I used to have that problem, it could also be your monitor, I had to buy a new monitor for mine because it had ruined the monitor by, like, flickering about. Alternatively, get another (spare) monitor, plug that in, and then change the screen resolution then plug back in your current one. lol.

Check your video card driver to see if their up to date, if your card is ATI go to there website. If its Nvidia go to their website (listed) and download and run forceware software. It could also have to do with your screen settings, fiddle around with any buttons on screen and see if there are setting to do with sharpness.
