...and lie or at best tell half truths. I swear I think some of these people are radical, violent, Islamic fascist trying to poison people's minds in order to cause more and more division among the people, whether it be USA or Great Britian. It's an old technique, an old strategy, going back to Jesus' day.

"Divide and Conquer!" A house divided against itself shall not stand. It's happening all over the internet and on our college campuses. The targets are the young people because they are only beggining to learn the history and this makes them easier targets. Get into their heads first, stir up their passions and fears, hatred against their own governments, keep them so confused that they think they're not confused - Before they have a chance to mature enough and get their heads on straight, learn more which will lead them to the truth. I know I'm not the only one who sees this going on.
On Yahoo someone kept my Q yesterday from being made public by posting it to my profile only.

yes, except I'm one of them, as in I'm Australian but damnit, I want to be American because it's the greatest country on Earth, is filled with good people who don't just stand by and, oh, say, let Saddam Hussein continue to murder countless civilians, fund terrorists and aid other crazy countries in their quest to destroy the US and Israel.

I love America. Don't let the hippie press make you think that all Australians are non-thinking socialist Anti-American dimwits. Most of us are, but then John Howard has been PM for 12 yrs so we're not all stupid. But don't worry, we'll soon change that at the next election (October'ish) and then watch our dollar fall!!

*long-suffering sigh*

BTW, at my uni I started a journalism course (to alleviate my boredom in comp sci) and stormed out of many a lecture and eventually quit because of the UTTER SOCIALIST PROPAGANDA spewed by the lecturers. It was the usual John Howard / George Bush bashing, but a lecturer who teaches us to write at a 4th grade level has no right to force his hippie crap down student's throats.

Remember, those who can't do, teach!

Hey look! It's little Hitler! Only now he's blaming the Islamic rather than the Jewish. You have just enough "fellow Americans" who think like you to make you dangerous. Young people are the future. We can make the world a better place. It's usually those clinging to the past that seem to be blind to the future. You talk about non-Americans stiring up hate...what are you trying to do now? And Jesus caused his fair share of controversy. It's not wrong to rebel against a dangerous government. It's not wrong that people rebelled against slavery, apartheid and genocide. We should rebel against it now.

P.S I've voted against Howard every chance I got

Must people have YOUR opinion to be "American". And what is so great about being American? I am sure you can mention some THIRD world countries who want to run to America. America is decomposing all by itself so why would someone need to disrupt it. One can just sit and watch the US be destroyed by the latest immigrants, politicians,etc.Yes.."divide and conquer" is an old idea but I think you'd better be afraid of your own before you need to import enemies.

I do get irritated with people who visit USA for 6 months and come back with fake american accents. Does that count?

You must be a Republican as you are comparing those who you feel are "lying" as being an Islamic fascist.

Disagreeing with an administrations policies does not make you un-American, in fact, it makes you American. We in this country have a right and a duty to dissent when we feel something is not right. This current President will be gone soon, however, his legacy will continue to haunt us for years to come. And keep in mind, Bush's devisive rhetoric as far as "being with the terrorists or with us (aka him)", has obviously got you thinking nasty things about your fellow Americans. Shame.

LOL, the guy below me is soooo proving my point. *sigh*

What you describe sounds exactly like a bunch of liberal Democrats. They pretend to be Americans, lie and tell half truths, just as you describe.

I feel your frustration. Wish there was something we real Americans could do about it!

Screw 'em. Let the nationally challenged losers post their little rants. They pretend to be American because they wish they were.
