Do zoo animals get use to being caged up and being looked at all the time? Or do they always remember where they came from? Are they always sad and unhappy?

well not all animals in the zoo came from the wild. some don't know any better because they have lived their entire lives in captivity. however, good zoos are the kind of zoos that work towards making the animals as happy and comfortable as they can. usually zoos provide animals with lots of space for them to roam, and try to give each animal 'enrichment'. they might give lions and tigers a ball to play with, or they might give a bear a brown paper bag with food at the bottom, so that they have to dig through the bag to get to the food. all of these things keep the animals occupied and happy.
