...sadly "we" must teach both... you see, this is an area of teaching that should have been done in the "home"... what the example of the parents will show, so the children will go.
Our family's are under attack by every "near'do'well" and self "right"est out there... until "we" regain the control of our families "we" will bow down to other "gods" for the sake of having it "our way"...God forbid !

Its important to teach safe sex over abstinence because people are irresponsble and rebellious and should be treated as such. If you teach people 'only abstinence' then when they do have sex they won't be safe about it (and they WILL have sex) and will end up with STDs, unwanted pregnancies, and unwanted abortions.
At least if they are taught safe sex they know the risks and how to go about preventing STDs and pregnancies responsibly instead of putting themselves and others at risk.

Safe sex and abstinence . Kids do not have all the self control skills that adults do. So we should arm them with all the information that is out there. We also should teach them to make the right choices but until they have those skills mastered we need to look out for them that is why they are called children and we are called adults.

Safe sex with abistinence being an emphasized option.
First of all, abstinence only is a religious ideal while everone is not religious. And even some religious households accept that kids are going to have sex, so why force rigid ideals into education at the risk of perpetuating children having children, leading to poverty, or worse- abortions.
Nor is teaching abstinence only effective because once kids who are abstinent decide to change they have no knowledge of how to protect themselves and actually have higher rates of pregnancy than people who received safe sex education.
Further, safe sex education is not only beneficial to the children in class, but to society as they can help inform other already active teens of how to be safe, avoid kids/disease, and save their future (and you KNOW teens talk about sex).
And the icing on the cake is ( I know parents hate to hear it but) realistically nothing is going to make a kid go and have sex other than them already having the disposition to do so. Sex ed definitely belongs in school as its outcomes are a huge social issue, but the greatest thing that can be done for a child remains being talked to about sex at home. 70% kids into their college years respect their parents decisions on sexual behavior.

I think its abstinence rather than safe sex because school going children should not enter into sexual activities whether it is a safe sex or other.

ABSTINENCE. There is no such thing as "safe sex," because you cannot guarantee safety in sex. Condoms? Contraceptives? Unless you've taken the time and the trouble to learn the correct procedures for applying them, you're better off without orgasm. Really. Is there something wrong with saving yourself for "the one?" Do you want to risk unplanned pregnancy? Is self-restraint so bad a thing? I rest my case. Secularly.

Abstinence. We need to teach our kids to stop chasing after random tail, which is the ONLY thing that safe sex teaches. Look for who is (as corny as it sounds) your true love. You won't have to worry about them being a great *uck, because the BOTH of you will be too inexperienced to know the difference.
Alright, let's see how many thumbs-downs I get for this "antiquated" perspective...

I think it is most important to teach at home; because the schools, being full of license, teach whatever comes down with the money.

Abstinence. Safe sex is so f--king stupid, it shouldn't exist. Either you wait until you're married, or never have sex. <-- Kids need to be taught that. =]
