I agree with ohyeah y.....^^^^^^^ Personally i think uTorrent is a good starter "torrent client".Its easy to figure out and it has a big heap of easy-to use options.I cant say its the fastest there is but most "torrent clients" seem around about the same to me.The best thing i can say is experiment, try a different one each week until you find one thats compatible with your machine....speed wise, that is......Or maybe your a man that is more concerned about the best options different "clients" have to offer. There again, your gonna have to expierement around a little bit.And dont worry about your PCs memory and what not,the "clients" themselves dont usually use more than a few megs. The movies, on the other hand, do however.Even still,if you have a reletively new comp, thats none of your concern either, really. Not to mention, you can dump a "torrent client" just as fast as you get them. And the movies......they can be written over in a snap.Just delete 'em.Ok...before i start babbling too much.....I would like to give you this peice of advice. If your looking for the best "client" to use,DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES GOOGLE IT.Google will lead you on a wild goose chase most likely, and you know i'm sure, how internet software, freeware, shareware or what ever else anyone is trying to sell on the net.promote there products as the best of the best."the best there is,the best there was,and the best there ever will be".Thats why i'm warning you not to google it.Google will pull up tons of crap....excuse me......the best crap available!!!Thats the problem with google i think.I could be wrong but,i think that googles so called "spiders" are so aggressive that they will pull up anything that might reletively resemble something you might type in the search box, like,say....."best torrent client" for example.According to the developers of the software, they all think they have the best product,so that gets put in there search criteria. Then, when researching each one you end up with a frustrating mess.I think just about all of them have there own little perks.Theres some that might appeal to one user more than the next and so on.Oh....if you do google it....which i already stated i wouldnt recommend,i'd be willing to bet you a dollar that,if you do stick around for all the painful research,i think that your gonna find that all in all,"bittorrent" is most likely gonna get the most reviews, compliments. After all, they were the very first "bittorrent client" out there i think.I'm pretty sure of it,actually. He She or They,i forget who and how many people were in on it, also developed the concept of the "bittorrent"......geniouses.Anyways,what i was saying, the "bittorent client" is a safe bet to try. They are pretty fail safe.Kinda slow, but fail safe none the less.Like i said earlier,in,not so many words......you should just go with the ol' trial and error method untill your satisfide with the results.Just try a different every week,or try a few at a time for that matter.I just wouldnt recomend trying to test them against each other at the same, if you were getting that idea.It will play hell with your computer,I have a problem running one at a time nevermind two. That reminds me....before i forget,i have been messing arount with the different clients for a few months now and i still havn't found one that doesnt slow my machine down.Granted, this comp is over a year old now,and i only have a dsl
Hey,good luck with your new torrent hobby man(trust me,thats what it turns into,a hobby, its addictive)I know im a long winded son of a bitc*.... but i forgot to mention one little thing.I dont want to sound like...umm... captain obvious.....err....make that,umm.... Dr. obvious,(MD)(tm)....(pat-pend.)hehe...k,im done now.I just wanted to say that you could at least obviously google some torrent clients for a hefty list of victims to choose from.Just do yourself a favor and ignore all the perks, credits, descriptions and all that happy crap. They all compete with each other and run each other down------kinda,sorta.Dont worry, if you here that one client might be,or is, full of viruses, worms, trojans, adware or maleware etc.....i havent ran into any problems and i've been farting around with it for quite a while now.I think, perhaps its all hear say and propaganda if you will..Competition.Maybe....In all reality,i still dont know too, too, much about these different clients and bittorents in general.Eh...here i go again.Blah,Blah,Blah. j555cyr <------no life.Joking.
Anyways, from what i have been told, these different clients all seem to work at different speeds depending on the machine its being ran on, so theres no real "standard" name brands to stick too or choose from.So yeah,im still shopping around and im always willing to try something new.So...If you find something you think i should try out, just email the link to me if you would. If not no biggie!

Hey,if you need any advice or wanna ask me my opinion on a specific "torrentclient" or just have any questions at all about whatever, feel free to contact me.Like i said, this has turned into a hobby of mine,so i would pretty much enjoy spreading around some info- nuggets if i can.Or if i had the satisfaction in helping someone out successfully .....well whatever, its just all around fun for some reason.
Maybe cause its not morally, politically or respectfully incorrect.
I feel like im getting away with something i think.I love the thought of brand new free stuff, whether its software, music, movies, games, whatever. In reality i'm not really getting away with anything though, the government has no way of stopping/controlling it.And its very hard and expensive to target your everyday run of the mill, blue collar citizen. They gave up.Thats a whole different subject i could go on and on about, dont worry,i wont.
Finally, let me give you the most important peice of advice of all.Avoid asking these kinds of questions on yahoo at all cost,(free stuff i mean). Its appearently against yahoo terms of service. The bastids deleted my whole yahoo account for asking the same kind of stuff you are. What a major pain in the nards that was.I had a ton of stuff....gone....pics of my daughter,my chess rating,email,everything.....gone. IF ANY ONE HAS ANY DIFFERENT OPINIONS,THOUGHTS,FEEDBACK,KNOWLEDGE,SARCASM,ADVICE AND WHATEVER ELSE about my little google theory,or the rest of my answer in general, feel free to school me on it,or what you think you might know, or tell me what you think.Im open to suggestions, and i always like to learn something new, or engage in a little bit of good 'ol MOOT!
