In that case you would have to have 3 eggs, but seriously there is this lady who had two uteruses who gave birth to identical twins from one and then another fraternal twin out of the 2nd uterus. Highly rare, but check out the link.

I would say it's possible to have to eggs fertilized at the same time,. The odds of this happening are extremely rare. It's not impossible, but it's not a usual case. You could have it where two eggs split created identical and two eggs are seperately fertilized to create the fraternal twin. You would need three eggs though in this case.

This would only occur if three eggs were dropped, and fertilized two would be the fraternal twins, and one splitting would be the identical twins. This has happened in clinically induced pregnancies, but I think it would very rare in a naturally occuring pregnancy.

Yes. I knew the Smith triplets, two identical girls and a third who was different. She was the fraternal twin of each of the identical twins. I wonder if she felt a bit left out?

No; To form identical twins, one fertilised egg splits and develops two babies with exactly the same genetic information. This differs from fraternal twins, where two eggs are fertilised by two sperm and produce two genetically unique children, who are no more alike than individual siblings born at different times.

yes, i suppose that's possible. the one egg that didn't split would be fraternal twins with the one egg that split into two. so you would have triplets, where one child is fraternal twins with the other two, and the other two kids are identical twins with each other.

Yes, it is possible, although only if you have three eggs, which makes it very rare.
