Turning 21 soon. Looking for ideas on how can i celebrate my 21st bday with family and friends.

I realized the most common one in Singapore is non other than having a chalet or a BBQ session and invite friends and relatives over.

I would like to have something special yet not too ridiculous as it has to somehow suit both the young and old. So i suppose clubbing is out.

Any nice places that you would like to recommend?Or some suggestions on what i can do....thks!

Ok.. 21 with family and friends. SOmetimes that can be a hard one to pull off. 21 for me was all about celebrating the legal drinking age. For a mixed party if the weather is nice I recommend yes a sort of BBQ, but you MUST have a DJ and karoke machine or a band. Mind you it has to be music everyone can enjoy. Even if its a take turns on music selection. Play some older music then play some more comtemporary music. If you can afford to hire someone make sure they are spunky and can make everyoen jump in. The more energy the funner. Also, get an idea of the people who couldbe coming and what they like or dont like. But if you cant hire anyone I know you can rent karoke machines for cheap. Another time we had a party we got a moon bounce. It was a great excuse for the little kids but trust me.. all of us older ones were in there just as much. SOmetimes we just had to wait til the kiddies left the bounce so we didn't crush them. We also have an area in our back yard where we could have a little bonfire. That can be fun coem later in the evening. THere are a lot of cool games I know of that can be played that everyone would enjoy. The most fun partys are the high energy, involve everyone, and make sure everyone is having a good time.

I suppose it all depends on where you live or where you want it to be. Something else we would do for our partys is to have a more relaxed atmosphere for the adults depending on thier personalities and liven things up later when they are more keen to leave. Clubbing can always come later in the evening if you don't want to stay.. also consider having a family get together close to your birthday then going out on yor birthday. I always liked this idea because it seemed I had my birthday longer. You are only 21 once. ( Although I think I made mine last all year and maybe even still act like its my 21st) lol. If you need more ideas add me as a contact. I have had dozens of partys and gone to dozens. Our house is famous for our partys here. We have had bands, DJ's, moon bounces, Karoke, etc. I am not sure what we havent experiencedhere. lol.

I would just need to know more details to help. If not.. I hope you enjoy the info I gave ya. Good luck, have fun!! Oh, and Happy 21st!

Take care

Oh.. P.S. Glow sticks are fun at night also. Here where I live you can buy bundles of them at the dollar store. ( Just dotn bite one and openit. I know you can open them and squirt the fliud out to glow all over things. I bit one one time and I spit out glow for a while and it doesnt taste good, nor is it good to ingest. ) LOL

For my sweet sixteen last year, I set up this Paris theme. It had this 20 foot tall Eiffel tower, with lots of little cafe tables. I even had a mural painted of the street, with people walking, and riding in cabs, even subways, I had a big(not real) train drive by. It was a toy, but 60 ft. long, and as tall as my bf, 6ft. It was really cool, but since you don't have an avatar, I don't know what gender you are??? My bf had a race car thing. They had tons of drinks and we all got drunk. It was just a race car track, he got a few autographs, and some race car dudes drank with us. It was really fun, nothing too crazy. If the old people in your family like to drink, after all you will be turning 21, but I'm 17 and I've drank before!!!LOL!!! Good luck pleasing the variety of guests, hope you have a wonderful 21st!!!

Have a Luau party where the women dress in grass skirts, and when ppl arrive they get a leigh put on them,
you could have pineapple and coconuts -
there is tons of stuff on the internet you could see - also party stores always carry that stuff - and so do dollar stores.

Its a lot of fun!

yes...even though your friends might say it is cool to drink 21 shots on your 21st, don't actually do it...enjoy your new freedom --responsibly--, when you do a shot, don't swallow, reach for a beer as a chaser and unload the shot in there...you want to have fun on your special night not puke till near death. Stay sober for the strippers! Think of the poor strippers!!!

you can try reggae parties! just get a great band who can play the greatest music--reggae!!--then sing and dance the whole night away! make sure everybody sticks to the reggae color--red, green, orange and yellow. you can have the party on the beach for a more soulful feel.

make sure you have loads of beer and wine to get the mood going, too!

you can also add the barbeque, although you say everybody'sdoing it. but grillen food and alcohol and reggae goes together great!

happy birthday!
