America still has slaves. The question is actually: Where does America promote slavery?

The Quran not only allows slaves, but explicitly gives the slave-owner the right to have sex with them. There were no Muslim abolitionists because slavery is deeply ingrained in the religion. In fact, the Quran has more to say about enjoying sex with slaves than it does about several of the five pillars of Islam.

Mohammed owned and traded slaves. He commanded that women and children be taken as slaves in battle, and allowed them to be raped after capture. His followers continued the practice for centuries until it was forced to an end in most regions by European armies.

Unfortunately, slavery still persists in dark corners of the Muslim world today, such as Niger, the Sudan, and Mauritania. And, most tellingly, none of the articles by contemporary Muslim apologists (giving their religion retroactive credit for abolition) even bother to address the subject of modern slavery, much less condemn it.

On November 23, 1937, Saudi Arabia's King Ibn Saud told British Colonel H.R.P. Dickson: "Our hatred for the Jews dates from God's condemnation of them for their persecution and rejection of Isa (Jesus) and their subsequent rejection of His chosen Prophet."

He added "that for a Muslim to kill a Jew, or for him to be killed by a Jew ensures him an immediate entry into Heaven and into the august presence of God Almighty."

Actual slavery includes being unable to leave. I have called myself a "wage slave" but the truth is that I can just put my work down and walk away without repercussions (other than having to go find other work, if I want to be paid).

I am sure there are actual slaves in this country; you see it on the news now and then. The difference is that now it is illegal, and slave-"owners" who are caught at it are in serious trouble. They certainly have no legal standing.

Yea the labor laws, especially in the south favor the employer and many companies use it to their advantage. So some jobs do treat their employees like slaves. Slavery like in the 1800s, no it does not go one. But some illegal aliens are treated like slaves because people know they are afraid to report it.

Many of Americans are slaves to government and huge companies economically...only difference to past would be that we have a slim chance to escape slavery by being economically independent

slavery is disguised in our society because the definition of slavery has always been work without pay. Now we pay people who owe more than they can make in their entire lives and tell them they are free. This is a falsehood designed to get work completed and at the same time keep the motivation of the the masses where it needs to be. I still think it is better now than years ago and I live with it because I can not think of a better way, that will work.

America has literal slaves in "happy ending" Asian massage parlors. Those women and girls are usually forced into semi-prostitution to compensate the people-smugglers/slave traffickers who snuck them into america as illegal immigrants.

Yeah. It's called the "working man". We're slaves to the Democrat tax increases, and liberal politics. We pray that we'll soon be free!
