special movie effects?

how can they film shooting scenes? do they really use and fire real guns? how can they make the sparks on the walls of objects when shooted, do they really use real guns to make the sparks???? or what?

they fire blanks... just air... then the sparks are added later digitally, or they are small explosives set up on a switch that someone toggles at the exact right time... thats why the call it movie magic.. now you know.
