I went to the new Wembley yesterday hoping to see the England players of the future Bentley played brilliant dominating midfield, Routledge had a good game as well as far as work rate is concerned. When Derbyshire and Huddlestone came on they played very well , apart from that , Richardson - appaling he looks like a championship player. Ferdinand - same as his brother in name only , was ball watching for at least two of the goals. Rosenior - fair game. Reo - Coker Terrible done one good tackle all game and was responsible for a bad back pass. Agbonlahor - anonymous was he really playing? It seems Pearson didn't start with the strongest eleven, why ? I don't know and also appreciate that a few u 21s also play for the first team, but looking at the Italian team who had 5/6 classy players, we were pretty ordinary and a few are definately championship quality.

I agree with you on the game, we played well enough going forward with Bentley a real plus. Defensively we were terrible, Reo coker and Ferdinand played like the over payed tossers they have proved to be for West Ham this season, terrible, just their attitude is terrible, they should never put on an England shirt at any level until they get the chip of their shoulder.

We do have some good players coming through, but until they make a break into their club teams they won't play for the u21's.

There is not enough young talent coming through the premiership these days.
To many foreign players is the problem. We will picking from the lower divisions in years to come at this rate.

Well I guess it was just a bad day for us. Mind you they were lucky to come away with a 3-3 draw against Italy.
