hi just a quick question i have recently brought a new corn snake to add with my collection of snakes, at the moment i have a 100w buld and a heat mat but i recive tempratures around 85-90f and at night tempratures around 65-70f are these tempratures ok for cornsnakes as i have only ever speacialized in boa's befor

Yeah a 100w bulb is too much. use a 60w instead and make sure its UV. Also 90 degrees is too much. I would keep it at 80-85 in the day and 70-75 at night.

The temp should be adequate, but as with the Boa, make sure that the humidity level stays up around 60%. Also, with the Corn Snake, if the one you have is small, make sure that it has room to grow. They tend not to grow as fast for some reason if the living conditions are small. Corn Snakes make for a great pet......I had 4 at one time. One female I had grew to almost 5 foot.....Hope that helps

The 85* to 75* temperature range is fine but be careful with the 100W bulb...
It can produce enough heat to toast your snake if the room temperature goes up. ( I have used 60W bell type clip lights actually inside 10 gallon aquariums, if necessary, to produce heat with no ill effects even when the snakes wrap themselves around the metal bell).

good temps but you need a uvb/uva bulb not a regular one 100 watts is too high you will eventually dehydrate it
