Secondly, I have no idea, Isreal is geographically in the West of Asia, which is not Europe.
Thirdly, if you do believe that part of the world is technically Europe, then yes the other three countries should/could be included, but where does europe end and asia start?

Your question is good. Can you imagine if Israel had to play Iran or Iraq....? I can't and that is the reason they play in the European competitions... However, I cannot imagine them as the winners of the European cup. By the way, it is also a bit strange with England. Although a lot of English believe they should not be in the EU and feel they are something like another continent, they also compete in these competitions. I sometimes ask myself why they take part in it if they do not consider themselves a part of Europe...

Has Jordan and Syria got a football team? I don't know about Egypt don't they come under north Africa, which would rule them out.

Why do you think they don't play in Asia ?
Becouse Syria, Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait ect ect cet refuse to play them ! period, it's that simple. That is why FIFA place them in the european group.
What is it about what some of us have said that merrits the thumbs down ?

Its for political reasons.
Israel play in Europe precisely because nations like Jordan and Syria wont allow them to play in the Middle-Eastern Groups. They dont recognize the legal existence of Israel, and refuse to play them. Egypt, however, does...but it is in a minority amongst the Arab nations.

I think Titus is correct. I heard that Israel's national and club sides play in European competition because other middle-eastern teams refuse to play against them, basically because they do not recognise Israel's existence.

Why don't you ask about Turkey, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Russia???
Would you like to play a game with deadly enemies? The poor Israeli players would probably have a grenade or bomb kicked at them instead of a football-

Israel is a third rank team in europe and it is in europe. Israel is on the border between europe and asia

Israel are in the Euro Champs because they can not play in the regional tournaments for obvious reasons. (political differences in the M:E)
This being the case, Israel have been permited by UEFA to enter their team in our comp´.
