Don't go around adding random people just for the sake of having a large number of friends. It's unsafe, and you never know if it's just some sexual predator posing as a 12-year-old kid. Instead, just look for people that you actually know, like classmates and such.

ask your real life friends if they have myspaces and add em or if you go to a school then search for ppl in thet school by clicking "search" you can also search ppl that are on your msn or contact list. Also you could add famous ppl that you like :)

there are friend trains ..but then your not really meeting friends just random people who you may not even like so it would matter if you looking for friends to actually hold a conversation with or faces that take up space on your page...you just have to chat with people in the chat room or like everyone eles said see if your already exsiting friends are on there

add your favourite bands and you can get talking to other fans of the bands through that or look for fan pages of the band, like the one I have...
