first of all it's not that i disagree with abortion I just disagree with is under the wrong circumstances, and abortion is NOT a method of birthcontrol and should only be considered if there is a valid reason for taking away a childs life, such as some kind of medical condition that would make it worse for a child to live. If you felt you were old enough, mature enough, and responsible enough to have sex, then you should be mature enough to have a child, this is the consequence to your action, one that you would have known about, and you took the risk. Now, I don't think a child should grow up in a household where it isn't wanted, so if that's the case, consider adoption, you won't be a parent, but the child will still live a life, and could make someone who can't have children very happy. And from now on if this is a concern, don't have sex until you are ready to accept the responsibility of becoming a parent.

I doubt that your girlfriend is 3 weeks pregnant. First of all she wouldnt have missed her period yet, second she doesn't have enough hormones to cause any pregnancy symptoms and third their arent enough hormones to show up on a urine pregnancy test, and judging by the immature way the question is presented I would assume this is a young lady and probably doesnt have easy access to blood tests and is not very likely to tell her parents when she hasnt even missed a period yet. Next issue. If this is a real question and not one written simply to spark a fire on the already hot abortion issue ( which I doubt it even is a real question) Please dont abort your baby. If no alterations are made to this little growing person they will be a completely developed human being in just a few months, this is a miracle and you may have made a mistake by having sex when you are obviously too immature to nurture the life you have created, but dont make another one by killing the baby. The easy way out is selfish and will leave scars on both you and your girlfriend for the rest of your lives. I know people who have had them and they all (when they are honest) admit that they think of that baby, the best thing to do with this situation is adoption. Someone out there wants your little one more than anything. Do the right thing. Dont be so selfish as to deny your baby it's right to live. Your mom did it for you!

If your girlfriend does not want an abortion you don't. An abortion is literally aborting a fetus (expelling) from the mothers womb. It kills the fetus as it is not consider viable at that time (able to live outside the womb) If she is not considering this, perhaps you two would consider adoption, but even that is up to her. However, she may not want to do either of these things. In that case, suck it up and be a man. You both slept together and you need to be responsible and help raise that child. Do not make her feel forced to do one thing or another. Next time please use condoms and birth control if you have not already. There is not 100 percent prevention of having children, but using them reduces those risk about 99 percent better than not using them at all.

Abortion is killing the nbaby and removing it with surgery. It needs to be done in a hospital by a specialised doctor. Don't do anything stupid, pregnancies don't just "stop". If she does anything in a non-hospital environment, she risks to die herself. I am against abortion, but if you do it at least do it correctly (safely).
Consider giving the baby for adoption, please. Besides, I am quite sure she is more than 3 weeks pregnant, because she can't know as early as 3 weeks (week counting starts from her last period).

Don't listen to these people and their judgements on people who choose (FOR THEMSELVES) to abort.

Abortion is a personal choice, and no one else should be able to tell you if it is a good choice or a bad choice.

Abortion: In medicine, an abortion is the premature exit of the products of conception (the fetus, fetal membranes, and placenta) from the uterus. It is the loss of a pregnancy and does not refer to why that pregnancy was lost. Basically they take the fetus out.

The earlier a person has an abortion, the safer. They are usually done in the first three months. Doctors will not allow it if it is late in the pregnancy.

People have different opinions on abortion. Some people call it killing a baby. Some people do not. I guess that really depends on what your beliefs are, and when you think a person should really be called a living human being..when they are fetuses, still developing but not totally developed- or when they are actually born and breath for the first time. It really depends on the person, and no one should tell you what to believe, it should be your choice as to what to believe. you can look up some of the following terms to make you think about it further : fetus, baby, birth, born, termination, death, life, alive (they seem like easy words but look at the actual definitions and reaaaalllly think about them).

The most improtant thing for you to realize though...is that it is not entirely up to you at all. How does your girlfriend feel and what does she want to do? of course you should tell her how you feel and why you feel that way (very nicely) , but in the end..it is HER body and her choice - because it affects her body and her health. Of course it affects you emotionaly , psychologically and in many other ways too..so you should both talk and listen to eachother before deciding. You should do the right thing for you, and for the other person.

people have different reasons for doing an abortion. They might not be ready emotionally, psychologically, physically, financially. they might be scared and without power in their lives. they might be too young and might not come from good and understanding homes...they might even fear being physically threatened by someone if they are pregnant. they might have been raped. they might just not want a baby in their lives (and hey, people who don't want babies should not have them right? sure maybe they should not have gotten pregnant in teh first place... but they should not punish an unwated kid for their mistakes...at least that is my own opinion, whether or not anyone else agrees with me, it doesn't matter to me) they might have a thousand other different reasons. In my opinion, and in the opinion of a lot of other people, it is every persons personal choice to make that decision.

you should call a Planned Parenthood in your city or town (or whatever is close by).
You can make an appoinment for both you and your girlfriend to go in and talk to counselors and doctors and learn more about everything and ask your questions too. It's free. They will be very friendly, and it is private, no matter what your age is. Going to them and asking is not saying that you will definately do an abortion. just go there for some information, they can also provide info on other options, like adoption and like how to tell your family and also what to do if you decide to keep it. you can also look at their website at www.plannedparenthood.org/ and maybe find your nearest one.

so your choices are abortion, adoption, or having it be born. Do some research and TALK TO YOUR GIRLFRIEND ABOUT WHAT SHE WANTS TO DO AND WHAT SHE THINKS AND FEELS!

how did she find out she was 3 weeks pregnant? she wouldnt have even missed a period if this was the case as she would be 4 weeks at the time of a missed period and wouldnt show on a pregnancy test untill the day her period was due.

Why doesn't she just give the baby up for an adoption a lot of families out there would love to have a baby who can't conceive. Abortion is the medical termination of a pregnancy, they do NOT "suck the baby's brains out" because for one thing it's NOT a baby, it is a pregnancy...a zygote/embryo/fetus. It doesn't become "a baby" until it is born because BABY refers to the BORN...if it is a pregnancy obviously it is not BORN. Abortion is also not "murder" because once again it is not BORN and "murder" refers to killing that which has been BORN.
