Argument for first cause.
Argument for intelligent design.
St. Thomas Aquinas provided several proofs.
I don't need proof. Faith works for me.

Let's give you what you want! Take a second look at your question! Philosophy is supposed to be rational, right?
Then you have to admit that NO THEORY MAY prove anything! That is why it is called a theory. Proof of the theory comes from the scientific test, etc performed to prove or disprove it.
Once it has been proved, it is no longer a theory! As such your sentence is an oxymoron.
(That is not an insult!
It means:
a figure of speech by which a locution produces an incongruous, seemingly self-contradictory effect, as in “cruel kindness” or “to make haste slowly.”)

1) God being in the sky, clouds, space... whatever, is a metaphorical meaning... It was said that that's where he is/was back when people couldn't grasp the concept. God is not in one particular place. He is everywhere, and everything... If you want to even refer to him as a him. I would prefer to go with it.
2) The bible, if you want to boil things down, was written by man and therefore will be flawed. It is best to think of it as a guide that helps us navigate our lives. We truly cannot fully comprehend the full concept of God. It is like an ant trying to understand a human... or better yet a single bacteria trying to understand a whale.
3) The idea of intelligent design shows up everywhere. For example Phi, (not to be confused with Pi), aka the golden ratio. "Bio-chemical reaction?"... Very true on that, but what started it? According to what some would believe... We evolved from primordial sludge. If that is the case, why don't we see any more creatures evolve?
People that don't believe in a higher power are welcome to thinking what they like... I will continue believing in a higher power. I will continue to call it God, and so on...

According to "Philosophy Rocks", a primer that I just read my children, no.
I think it depends on what you define god to be. For me, it is not a bearded benevolence up in the clouds. That is a ridiculously anthroporphic notion provided for those with childlike minds who cannot bear not knowing. Man created God in his own image, not the other way around. Believing man to be the center of the universe is similar to the pre-Copernican notion that the sun revolved around the earth.
There are questions that will always be unanswerable, such as where did the universe come from, what is the essence of consciousness, etc. The wonder of that, of our existence, is what I respect and celebrate.

First of all you don't want an answer. Because its not true that the bible has been proven wrong. Just ask yourself some simple questions.
1.The theory that we just appeared isn't far fetched because of the chicken and the egg theory.
2.If we had come from monkeys or fish then how come we have never found one 1/2 being still in existence because if evolution is still happening then half human half fish or monkeys would still exist wouldn't they? As for counting out religion ..Don't... the bible isn't religion! it is a account of how we started..The religion thing is just mans way of trying to make since of something he doesn't understand or wants to make excusses for..!!

One interesting article was found on my sociology text book shows that prayer doubled the rate of in Vitro fertilization. The study was done by Columbia University in accordance with scientific methods.
I guarantee that that study isn’t going to convince an atheist that prayer works. I believe that God deliberately withholds compelling evidence from many people. God only demonstrates evidence to people that willing to do what he wants them to do.

The closest I can come is this bit of personal experience. You can believe it or not, that is your choice, but you need to ask your self why I would bother to try to confuse or trick someone I will probably never meet.
Several years ago I had an unusual experience concerning an uncle, a distant relative who lived over a thousand miles away.
While driving my car I suddenly felt the unmistakable presence of this relative that I hardly even knew. He was more like someone I had heard about than someone I knew. It was very strange; it felt as though I was momentarily lifted right out of my physical body. I seemed to be suspended somehow beyond space and time, bathed in a love so intense It felt like I could have just disappear into it at any moment if It would have let me. It only lasted for a few seconds, but it seemed to last forever at the same time. I realize how crazy this must sound. The experience was so strong that at first I was afraid I was loosing my grip on reality. I finally managed to chalk it up to an over active imagination.
Three days later I got a call from my aunt telling me that this uncle we are talking about had gone into a coma and died the day I had the experience. It felt like ice water had been poured down my back when she told me this. I had lost any real ideas of God or faith and had become somewhat of an atheist. Needless to say this experience caused me to rethink some of the conclusions I had come to.
I feel blessed to now understand that even in our darkest confusion something loves us so much that it went out of its way to assist me and bring me back to a state of absolute certainty about Gods love for us.
During the experience it seemed like there was a vast amount of information that I was somehow allowed access to. One thing that I came away from this experience understanding beyond any shadow of a doubt was that any Idea that God is unhappy with us or would judge or allow us to be punished for any reason is simply impossible.
I can’t explain the love I felt with words. They simply don’t make words big enough or complete enough to do this. The only way I can begin to convey this love to you is to say that there was simply nothing else there. Nothing but love. No hint of judgment, no displeasure of any sort. It is as though God sees us as being as perfect as we were the day we were created. It is only in our confused idea of ourselves that we seem to have changed.
I hope this is of some help to you. Good luck. Love and blessings.
Your brother don

Ok. im not going to go into this because everyone has there own different point of view about things. but the liture you can read is the bible. everyone asks this question all the time and the truth is science can't come up with a answer (competely) so we have to come from somewhere. Read the bible and it will tell you all about it.

you are your own desire enveloped by the ego called I-ness, born out of the pure nature whose basic quality is love, just like the fire engulfing every thing within its vicinity are living in the reality of consciousness until you realise the truth that every thing is the same expansion of you and your desires.
there is no somewhere else everything is one which is call supreme reality.
