Yes, it's a fantastic movie and one of the first that Robin Williams did that was serious instead of only funny. If you liked that, the main two boy characters Ethan Hawke and Robert Sean Leonard) have done other things since then...
Ethan Hawke has been in White Fang, Gattica, Reality Bites, and a bunch of others.
Robert Sean Leonard, (the boy who commits suicide) is one of the main characters in House on Fox. (On Tuesday Nights)
I of course loved Knox Overstreet... he was in Don't Tell Mom The Babysitters Dead, (which was super funny and romantic).

Yes, I saw it years ago and thought it was wonderful.
Dead Poets Society is a pretty serious film, not one that just any fourteen year old would watch, and the fact hat it came out so many years ago is another contributing factor.
If you'd like to share it with your friends so that you can have discussions about it, why not talk to your parents about having a weekend 'Movie Party", or have a slumber party and watch it? It wouldn't have to be anything fancy. Go rent the DVD, buy a pizza and some sodas, pop some popcorn, and make sure you help clean up afterward.

Yeah, great coming of age movie. I was a little older than you when I first saw it and still try to catch it when it shows on cable every now and then.
I still think this was one of the top three roles Robin Williams ever played. It was also a launching point for a few young actors who are still working today, including Ethan Hawke.

I watched it in English class when I was in the 9th grade. I thought it would be boring but it turned out to be really awesome.
I'm 31 and I still think about how I felt when I watched it.
