The major difference is that you accept the resposibility of another. Would you honestly give your life for that other person? Would you put there needs ahead of your own? Would youtake care of them ,forsake you goals and wishes for the other person if they were injured or had a illness keeping them from helping you? if so that is true Love..anything else is lust and you can't find it by simply being friends youhave to be together for a while and live together and have children together...If you feel this way from the very start then... your in love. Because that feeling will last as long as the other person doesn't dissappoint you in some major way..Its a dream and only something major can destroy it or wake you from it!!

A long time ago I thought that love was something that you reserved for some special set of people that you had judged worthy of it.
After a while I got to thinking about what Jesus had said about turning the other cheek and loving our neighbor I put the two together and realized that he had made no exceptions in these statements. It became obvious to me that he intended that we exclude no one from the love that we are supposed to be giving. I started thinking about my idea of love and suddenly realized that I had not been loving anyone at all. I had simply been judging everyone and every thing.
Judging someone worthy of love is not love, it is only judgment. I actually started to cry when I realized this. I saw just how much of my life I had wasted being judgmental, thinking of myself as a Christian, when I was actually doing just the opposite of what Jesus had asked us to do.
I thought about the verse judge not lest ye be judged, and I understood it for the first time.
I realized that I have a lot of catching up to do. So many opportunities were wasted. I now try to apply the love that I have for the world in a universal way like Jesus asks us to do.
If I start to feel afraid and think that I see someone that I should not love because of something I have thought or heard I try to catch my mistake as soon as possible. I tell myself that I have forgot the truth and have fallen for the same old trick that had cost me so many opportunities to be loving in the past. The horror of this realization is often all that is necessary to bring me back to my senses and make me drop the judgmental nonsense I was thinking.
I still have a lot to learn about love, but at least I’m making progress.
Love and blessings
Your brother

No I can't define it but a quote by Woody Allen comes to mind:
Whilst waiting for true love, sex (or lust) poses some interesting questions.

i don't have words to describe love. I merely understand that it rather is a wonderful feeling you have for yet another and that it starts off with humility. i will merely refer you to God to aid you understand approximately actual love. examine one million Corinthians thirteen, verses 4-8. His divine words tells us what love's all approximately. i think of you would understand once you discover actual love. i understand people who have been married maximum of their lives and merely have been separated from their important different by making use of dying of their previous age. i think of lust is a recipe for filling some non everlasting void that ends up in hurting human beings.

The person you want to respect, the person you want to spend your whole life with. The person who you love so much and the mother of your children. The person you dont want to cheat on and the person who is the whole world to you.the person who Say's "that's red" when you know it's not it's blue but to avoid argument's you agree.when you get up to feed your baby because your wife hasn't slept. when she's tired and you help do a chore. When shes sick you attend to her and care for her.when your walking with her and a hot girl goes by you don't turn to look .
When it's lust none of thee above only one thing and one thing only.Baby's are oops and other women are beautiful.

Lust is when you have an overwhelming desire to sleep with them. Love is when you want to wake up next to them every day for the rest of your life.

Lust is just the beginning. True love is when you recognize their faults and still love them. ;)

true love is the soul's recognition of it's counterpoint in another.
now, i got that from the dude with the messed up nose in "wedding crashers", but it makes sense. when you finally, and hopefully, meet that person that you've known all your life, that's true love. the person that knows what you're thinking based on the look on you face...without ever see your face before.
