team india did not play as unit ganguly and his supportes are main culprits played negative cricket and played big role in defeat of team ind. A captain is as good as his teammates failure of dhoni, sachin, gangulys selfish negative cricket, herbjan went wktless in both games. Poor fielding, poor running between wkts. lack of application, commitment for team by players was visible in all three matches. some players were not supporting captain.If bowlers gave 27 extra runs and poor fielding, and ind bataman failed in imp match why should onlycaptain but all XI players should be blamed.?SL scored 113 runs in singles but team played only 43 overs and 106 dot ball
Winning or defeat in matches depends on performance of XI players. Irrespective of captain, coach, pitch, stretagy and conditions. Bangladesh and SL victory against India is best example. main culprit is ganguly amd harbajan tendulaakr and dhoni who played big role in defeat against Bangladesh
What about contribtuion of ganguly to team defeat. First match only he played the negative cricket,scored more runs for self to finish 1000 runs in WC and played main role in defeat against banladesh.

It is not correct to say that India cannot play with any big team as the same players have defeated Sri Lanka and West Indies in ODI series played in India just before the world cup. However, in the matches against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, Indian players played very poorly and lost the matches.

Ind vs bangladesh........India was a better side regarding their talent and experience but they were lacking the dedication and they underestimated the Bangla team who played with real dedication and put their all effert in that game proving that talent and expereince is not everything but it needs hard work and dedication as well!

India vs srilanka.......so talentwise, not much difference .but again Inida was lacking the planning and dedication plus Kumble was missing , Even the older player Murali fielded so well while here even the youngster didn't care much and didn't put their effert.......Indians are taken to be the best to play the spin bowling and Murali the spinner was the person who brought the destruction for their batting line .....if just looking at the Indian batting line, Ganguly, Dravid, Sehwag, Tandulker, Dhoni........Big names man !!...........and they could not chase 255 runs even....this was not a safe score but the players didn't try to get it actualy !

There is no difference between India vs Bangladesh and Srilanka Both are matches India lost. We are only heroes in our home, and rats out side. There is no aggression and determination. If we shown this would have won both. The only one difference is that India vs Srilanka match was our ticket back home without any need to bother for WC 2007.
