I hate to say it but in today's world you never know where a woman has been and who she has been with. Fortunately, we have modern technology that can test women to see if they have any diseases that men might need to be aware of before they marry. Not only so, but it is a good idea to see if she will be able to bear children as well. Not saying that a man shouldn't marry her but it is a good thing to know beforehand to see if he can afford a concubine or second wife that will be able to bear children. Don't get me wrong, not all diseases are "deal breakers" in a marriage but some really have to make you think. I think you all know what I am talking about. What do you all think? Good idea?

What is good for the goose is good for the gander.

Both parties should be checked if this necessary. While she is being checked for "live eggs" he should have a sperm count taken and both of them checked for diseases.

As for childbearing I disagree. I think that it should be in the marital contract that, in such case that the woman cannot provide children, there is permission for him to take a second wife. I don't think that it is necessary to do fertility checks prior to marriage. In most cultures this would leave the woman feeling like a broodmare.

This second wife is also a good idea even if there already is a first wife who is fertile. I am all for the family living together as a big happy group.

I think you could write a book "Sandstorm's Thoughts on Advanced Misogynistic Theory". You could rake in big bucks, especially in some Middle Eastern countries.

LOL. I do agree with your particular point although it's only fair that the guy gets tested as well (unless he's a virgin). For example I'm a virgin and I would refuse to get myself tested since I KNOW I don't have any diseases.

Better be careful with that, but if you ask for it be ready for it to come your way too. Men can be infertile and insane and have diseases as well.

What are you looking for anyways, an heir.

I do think that it is crp that you don't have solid evidence of no std's either way. Then again, I didn't need any. Trust is important in my relationship but I have a great one to start out with.

In your case, she needs to take you to a certain doctor and it is for the part of your body that sits on your neck.
