I have to choose a play to direct at a local family-friendly theatre, any sugestions? I'm not looking for a childrens play, but it does have to be viewable by children.

Maybe something by Gilbert and Sullivan. Everyone loves "Pirates of Penzance".

Neil Simon has some great ones, he's always a favorite for summer theatres. Kids will love physical comedy.

'you can't take it with you' by kaufman and hart is hilarious if you get actors who are really into it. this play talks about sex a few times, but i don't think it would be difficult to change the lines a bit to make it kid-friendly.
