This all sounds normal. Call your OB if you're worried, but you sound like you're having a normal pregnancy to me.

I'm currently at 8 weeks and i've had the same thing. Brown discharge for three weeks now and some mild cramping/discomfort. I was in an accident and i went to the doctor when it started looking more red than brown to me. He said it was perfectly normal. He did a pelvic exam and ultrasound just to be on the safe side. He said the thing to worry about and he gave me notes on "possible miscarriage" and they say: "During the first three months, it is not uncommon to have a small amount of bleeding; however, if heavy, bright red bleeding( soaking a pad an hour for three hours) or severe cramping occurs, contact your doctor immediately." It also says to tell your regular ob about it at your next visit and they may do an ultrasound just to be safe. This is my first pregnancy, so rest assured that i have asked just abou every question you can ask a doctor. and friends. Almost everyone said they spotted most of their pregnancies. Brown is really nothing to worry about, even very light pink. I'd worry about red.

I was once told that when you are in early stage of pregnancy, your capillaries in that area are sensitive and the pressure of sex can effect them, making very light "old blood" discharge. Nothing to be concerned about, but always a good idea to talk to Dr. to make sure this is what is happening. Also, slight cramping is normal because your uterus is growing.

I'm 8 weeks pregnant and the same thing happened to me. I didn't know I was pregnant until my 6th week and that is what gave it away. you shouldnt worry unless its ALOT of blood coming out. but if its just little bits its ok

its normal don't worry. I've been worrying about alot of things too because its my first pregnancy and I'm terrified of losing my baby. but trust you me you will be fine and so will the baby

Good luck and congrats

from my experience it doesnt sound good. I've had 3 miscarriages it started the same brown discharge on and off and with my 2nd one I had cramps 1st one I had back pain and light bleeding and my last no pain at all just dark brown spotting. so my advice go to the doctor see what they say and try not to stress as it doesnt help. I wish you all the best and hope all goes well
