I just cannot understand this? If I were a super famous film star, and I wanted to go ut and party and drink TOO much; I'd certainly be able to afford, even want to be chauffered around. Why are so many actors getting DUI's when they could easily take a cab or hire a limo to take them bar hopping? Someone explain this, if you can?

It is simple - this is what they think: "It will never happen to me!"
I truly believe that they can afford a chauffeur or at least ask one of their bodies to give them a lift, but.. nah, after the third glass they loose their judgment.
On the other hand there are so many stars got caught on DUIs that it is almost looks like "witch hunt" and paparazzi definitely help.
I think it would be safer if celebrities were left alone. They would drive safer, they would not be shown making asses of themselves as much, and definitely our teenagers would seen better behaving stars to have cleaner examples to follow.

The threshold for DUI is too low-according to MADD, just 1 drink and you are an accident waiting to happen.The local Police Departments view DUI enforcement as a veritable "cash cow"with all the fines,mandatory classes they make you pay for,and follow up classes- its ridiculous.You should be able to go to the local Pub,and hoist a pint without being depicted as a heinous criminal.Cops like to stake out bars where celebs go because they can make thousands on tips to the media when they pull them over.

Alcohol affects judgement. Therefore, being intoxicated, they think they can pull it off. And honestly, some of them do but that doesn't make the headlines, does it?
