I certainly don't wish them physical harm, just political.

No.
One of my very best friends is part of that 7% of liberals who are serving in the military. I have absolute respect for him and his views.
I've said this before and truly believe it. One of the things that makes the US one of the GREATEST countries on Earth is the fact that we have checks and balances. We need each other. Conservatives are strong on defense and tend to be the ones who will stand up and fight when needed. Liberals are the ones who, historically, look at social dilemmas in this country and help those in need. When it's time, they will stand up and remind Conservatives that war is not the only answer and that there is a time for peace.
I have nothing against that, at all.
I am disappointed in the vitriol hate that is constantly espoused on this site, though. It's sad and disgusting.

I think we need some liberals to function in society. The only ones i wish harm to are the ones that burn our flag and spit on soldiers. They need to be deported to some small country that does not have any freedoms so they would be a little more grateful for having been Americans at one time.

I don't hate true liberals. I hate those who decide to be liberals for selfish reasons. Like more government programs for themselves. I hate so called liberals who use that status to look down on other people, like in the TV show Frasier. True Liberals believe in helping others, not themselves. This type of attitude is to be applauded, rather than frown upon. I might argue about fairness and reasonability, but a good heart out weighs everything else.

The problem with Republicans hating liberals is because those who are liberal see past the greed, the corruption, and the cronyism which is rampant in the GOP party.
And many liberals have called them into question, called them into accountability--and are *unwilling* to "go along" with them in all ways and means.
Which is WHY you hear the GOP piss and moan about liberals, and why their supporters see them as a true threat against their powerbase.
That's why they want to see serious harm done to them. They need to remove them from the picture so that no one would suspect their ulterior motives--or bring to light how maligned they really are.

No, I enjoy a good healthy debate, however they are hard to find here. I am a moderate republican and share some of the same social views with the democrats, I do not understand how they get so personally vial when someone disagrees with them.

I'm an American and I've had cons tell me that they want to kick my *** for what I say. Too bad they are too chickenshit to actually try it.
