Yep. I'll be that crazy lady that lives on top of the hill with a dozen dogs (yea, dogs, not cats.), who all the mothers warn their kids to stay away from. Everyone will shake their heads, and say: 'she used to be so nice....what happened?'. They'll all treat me like I have the plague and stay away from me. I'll die a lonely old hermit, most likely. Oh well. At least I have an excuse to chase punk teenagers with my walker. Muhahaha. Yea, they'll stick me in a nursing home eventually.

Yeah! My kids threaten me all the time, that if I'm not nice to them they will put me in one of the nursing homes they see on the news that have been inspected by the health officials for neglect. So I'd better behave!

I had to go and read the meter in an old age home, they had them lined up by the elevator in wheel chairs waiting to get lunch, I went back, and my boss and I made a "PACT", if anyone does this to either one of us, one MUST go and put "TWO" in the back of the other guy's head !

Yes and that is why I have dedicated myself to nursing to improve every aspect of health care for seniors that I can.

Yeah, think about it sometimes when I see elderly patients. I just hope I'm treated nicely and respectfully.

I think it's absolutely SELFISH and appalling when people EXPECT their family to be burdened by caring for them. They have their own lives to live. I would NEVER expect my family to sacrifice like that, even if they offered to!
I'm ready to go to the Retirement Home as soon as possible ! (how about next week?)

i always hope i won't be treated like some incompetent OLD PERSON. that would suck.

Yes, and it scares me! I see how the people in the rest homes look dirty and their hair is greasy, yep it scares me real bad!
