I know it is the internet...but grammar and punctuation mistakes are so frequent and yet were taught in K-12, and should have been reinforced throughout HS & college. Does it ever make you wonder how in the world these people became successful at all?

Maybe I should have asked why do certain individuals defend those individuals that either voluntarily or involuntarily make grammatical errors?

They drive me nuts. I would be a rich, rich woman if I could get paid to search the Internet and correct every misuse of it's/its, your/you're, where/were/we're, and there/their/they're.

I understand that sometimes you just want to send an email or post a message quickly. But in one of my college courses last semester, our tests, including essay questions, were computerized. The professor actually had to remind the class that 'IM speak' wasn't proper in an academic setting.

Yes it does. An example would be when people insert a hyphen in a word (misspelling) and then whine about other people's spelling ability or lack thereof.

No, it doesn't bother me to see misspellings. I do get bothered, however, when people come on here and, using poor grammar, complain about the spelling of others.

Yes! I can't stand it either. Especially when people mis-spell words on purpose. Is it so hard to do something right?

no dude!
this is the internet.
it's about conveniences & speed to get the message across.
you should ignore about grammar or mis-spellings.
nevertheless, there is some etiquette to abide by, though.
chill out ok.
