The person who decided the batting order.

We all know Tendulkar and Ganguly have the highest opening wicket partnership 163 to their name so......why is Uthappa opening with Shewag? We needed a cracking start against sri lanka and we should ve made these two open.
ITS SAD.

It is the media, that is responsible for the ghasty performance of the Indian team. The media has exploited the game to such a extent, that cricket is not a sport, but a religion, and the players are worshiping idols.
Players are only interested in becoming a bigger idols, and they are not playing for the team or the country.
So its time to decide, do you want to play cricket or be worshiped and get stoned.

Everyone. The politicians, the selectors, the coach, the players, the media and the public. The selection process should be like the one that Australia has. If you don't perform you are out. In India even if the top players don't perform they still play because everyone wants them to play. They all talk nonsense. There needs to be an infusion of new blood and a time limit for them to perform. If they can't perform within that time limit then you are out. Politics and favoritism should be thrown out. Players should be picked based on merit. Unfortunately in India where the cricketers are treated like gods by the idiot public it is not going to happen because the public wants certain players to play whether they perform or not.

In any performance sport, it is a combination of all elements that contribute to either a sucessful contest, or a terrible outing. Personally, I think the team just sucked. Anyways, there ya go

the whole group, man!!!! see, the team has always goes for spinners (get's out)!!! and that is because, they have no practice with spinners!!! they get practice and u just see the results!!! and then the selectors!! they should have let sresanth play!! west indies is his place for cricket!!! his bowling really works at the west indies!!! then why did he not play??? then the coach ,should also put good players in to play!! uttappa should not have been allowed to play!!! he spoiled everthing!!! and tendulkar, he only used ot be good!!! nowdays once in a blue moon, he'll play properly!!! so, according to me, it's evryone's fault!!!

The dismal performance of India in the world cup was due to collective failure of batsmen as well as bowlers, who totally failed to perform to their potential.
