Do they think about the sufferings and injustices prevalent in this world? Do they consider the many difficulties the child might have to face in the future? Or do they simply go "lets have children" like automatons? I simply wonder...

~Do you really think a 13 year old getting laid in the back seat of a car is considering the possibility of getting knocked up? Get real. But I agree with the concept you so poorly try to articulate. I am all for mandatory sterilization and retroactive abortion.

I chose to remain childless in part because of the troubles so prevalent in the world. Growing up with severe health problems brought the desire to save others tsuch pain home to me early in life. Everyone with children seems to need help with them --for one reason or another-- anyway. I'm glad I had access to good advice in my teens!

any person in the world, no matter what, is going to have to face difficulties sometime in their life, so no, i didn't think about it when i decided to have my son. I worried about if i could provide for him, and keep him safe, and be a good mother and make sure he has a good life and is raised properly, but i don't think about everything else in the world. millions of generations of people have lived through trials and suffering, and with good parents why can't our children?

I believe having a child is a great responsiblity that many people take way too lightly. Having children should be a conscious choice that two people make and they should consider it carefully.

Not nearly often enough, and generally not thoroughly enough. Then again, if they think about it too much, they might decide not to procreate at all.
