All through school I could not figure out what people found to talk about until my Senior year when I began going to games and joining things. I missed a lot by lack of participation. Mmm

I recently moved to a new high school and making friends is so hard for me. It was going to be harder as I had been living in a different country for 3 years but it shocked me how fast and easily I made friends. It is so rare for me and I'm so rubbish at doing it but I'm starting to wonder whether making friends was more then being good at it. It's about what country your in and there being a different kind of respect I think. If it's a different country it is so hard! I fit in quite well though and am quite popular. But it depends who you are.

You'll do well! :) As lengthy as you're pleasant, you'll without doubt make peers. Even even though you are saying that every body already has their businesses, it doesn't suggest that they would not wish so as to add a pal, correct? Everybody likes to have new peers, so I'm certain they might be given you. Don't fear approximately it an excessive amount of, it will come usual to you in making peers at your new institution. Also, you continue to have your peers out of your historic institution, do not you? I'm certain they'll help you :)

Well I'm in my first year of college, just got done with highschool and i'm VERY thankful!!! In highschool, there was so much groups and drama and people are just MEAN at that age. My main problem in highschool was my parents actually...they would never let me go out with friends and when they did it was "Be back at 10 or I'm calling the cops" and absolutely never did they let me spend the night at any friend's house because "There could be guys there and I can start having sex" You know..insane parents like that...I know they had good intentions but they really took it to extremes at times. So that's why my highschool years sucked pretty much...because I was restricted from all joy and was constantly "grounded" without the term since it was the norm. Making friends was easy for me, you just talk and be yourself. Keeping them was the hard part because of course, they'd want to hang out OUTSIDE of school and my parents "NO! there are boys in the outside world. Stay home." My dad especially...omg...I'm so glad I never have to deal with that again..I became nearly suicidal in highschool...I was so depressed at my never being able to go out and lead a normal life...it was really bad.

Anyways...now I'm in college and I live in a dorm and I'm finally away from my psychotic house. People in college are a lot more open minded too and there's barely any "categorizations" or grouping...we just all blend in pretty much. It's wonderful! But yeah...highschool is always tough but then it gets done and you can finally BREATHE!!!! :-) :-) :-)

I felt exactly the way that you felt. I did not find academics very challenging and ultimately the whole experience a real waste of time. I felt like a non-entity where I had more acquaintances than real friends. I had only one true friend and he has been my friend my entire life so it didn't begin in school.
