the thing is, im trying to achieve a balance between formal and creative.
shirts and slacks seems very standard, this college is known to be really fininky when it comes to piking students, they choses only the best, the most creative...u get the drift
the thing is i want to stand out from everybody else...without goin over board.

Wear black or gray tailored pants with black shoes...
A cute, trendy shirt- short sleaves
Then wear a tailored jacket over the outfit. You should wear the jacket into the interview, but can take it off when you get hot. This does not just apply to design school, but any interview.

Well it is a design school, so you have express your creativity with your clothes. I recommend very nice white slacks, they will look great with your complexion and will fit the weather perfectly. A colorful and light top and don't forget to be creative with your accessories, this would be your shoes, purse and jewelry. But don't overdo it, it will look like your trying too hard; you want to make it look effortless.

wear something professional and weather depending. but you can never go wrong with some nice slacks and a long sleeved button up collared shirt with a nice blazer over. you can always change after your interview but looking professional is very important when going to a school interview this is an important part of your life do it right. black slacks white or light colored long sleeved shirt with a blazer you cant go wrong. no skirts. shoes id say a nice pair of boots inch or so high.

Just like you would for court. The idea is "respect." You don't need to make a statement. They don't expect a statement. They would never be impressed with any statement you would make with your clothes.

But professional situations is judged by what is proper. Respect is proper. They expect it and they get it.
