if the fan is really dead you will have to replace it

sometimes though thet just get stuck- try to make it run backwards by using a vacuum cleaner stuck over the air port- sometimes frees it up

i might have the service manual for that machine- email me if you need it

clean the airborne dirt and mud out of the fan , apply it to a floor the place airflow can get to the backside and notice if it improves. use center temp to be sure that's overheating , regardless of if it is not touch your producer because of the fact its some thing else and may well be lined below guarantee .

Call me crazy, but I'm going to suggest going to a computer repair shop and having the fan replaced. CRAZY!!!

Otherwise, try blowing into the intake rapidly while you work to cool it off.

. . . or only use your laptop if you're in a refrigerator.

Hope this helps!

they only thing you can do is either take it apart and replace the fan or take it to a computer shop and let them do it. if it is under warentee, you'll have to send it in, HP WILL NOT send you the part to fix it yourself. be caustioned, laptops are alot more dificult to take apart than PCs

Buy a new fan.

Just call HP, they'll tell you exactly what you need.. and if your computer is under warranty, they'll send you what you need.
