If a guy is strongly-built, but is overweight by 40-50 lbs (not all the excess is muscles and bones, you know)...would he be or would be not attractive to women?

I personally like a taller, bigger type of guy who's got broad shoulders. Skinny men are a turnoff, as is too much working out, cause they've tended to be high maintenance guys who are vain! Most women are much more open minded then men are and consider much more than just appearance, like overall grooming, what he's wearing (don 't do anything too tight or ratty), does he open doors (and other gallant gentlemanly things), does he treat me well in general and not dominate the conversation, does he have a stable career he enjoys (note, I don't care WHAT it is, but that he has one), not have a mommy complex and/or live with parents.

If you have any major health concerns though, make sure that you are addressing them as far as getting adequate medical attention, watching your diet and/or exercise. I broke up with a guy cause he was so overweight he looked 8 months pregnant not cause of the weight but cause he didn't seem to give a damn that he was a "heart attack on a stick" (my words that I told him) cause he did no exercise, ate anything covered with gravy and other high fat stuff, and medically had his dad die at 50 from heart disease. He made 6 figures and treated me like a queen but I told him I couldn't get serious about someone who didn't take care of himself! He told me that other people had said that to him in the past too, but he still isn't doing a damn thing about it! I would have continued dating him at that same weight had he been doing something to show that he cared about himself!

I dated another man who is more than 50 lbs overweight but he is very sensual, knows all the right buttons to push, does them nice and slow, just how I love it, he always dressed up for dates and smelled divine, we could make out all night kissing is so good, and paid for dinner as well as brought flowers. We tried being in a relationship but that didn't work so now he is my lover until I get into another relationship.

The biggest chick magnet I know is a guy who's tall but still a good 100 pounds overweight. He has a great personality (and probably a great technique), and he's always got women chasing him. He got married a while back and still has women trailing around after him. Another guy I know is short and pudgy but has a marvelous sense of humor and has a similar "problem." I think women are less visual about being attracted than we are.

What really matters to women, and don't let any one of them tell you differently, is the "entire package." Some men who are overweight are extremely attractive. I wouldn't pass up a night with Doug from that King of Queens show...his character is a cutie, is funny, is well groomed, and has a good attitude about life. Take Doug and put him in some shirt where is tummy hangs out at the bottom, the crotch of his pants hang down to his knees and his butt cracks showing, put a beer in his hand every minute while he's awake, throw in a foul mouth, no shower for 3 days, greasy hair, unkept facial hair, and no, he wouldn't be attractive at all.

To be honest, i personally prefer a stongly built man. Im not into skinny men. I have also had this very discussion with many friends of mine and we all agree we prefer our men "not skinny". Women dont seem to have the same criteria generally that men do. Thats why there are so many mens magazines depicting slim 10/10 women but not many showing the average woman!!!! Women generally are not as "shallow" as men in this area and are turned on more by a guy who she connects with than what he looks like.

Not 'automatically', but I think besides the guys that are "chubby chasers", most men prefer that a girl be in decent shape; or at the very least be a few pounds overweight. When it gets to the point where you need to buy new clothes because your fat azz can't struggle into your old wardrobe, you need to diet!

If your built already, then I don't think 40-50 is really going to bother any women. If it does they're probably shallow anyway.

Yes and NO. it is depend on the person. Also, if you have a great personality, loving heart, kind heart, there you go~! Over weight woman may be attracted to over weight men as well. That is OK too.

That sounds fine to me. I've found myself attracted to a lot of different body types. Many women like a big, strong, bear of a guy.

I think that some men can look fine if they're a little pudgy, but it completely depends on the person. Generally I would say no, but it could look just fine.

Depends on if the guy is well-kept and clean. There are some overweight guys that are slobs, and then there are some that are neat and clean and cute.
