There are more hawks among high profile Republicans than there are among the Democrats, therefore it seems probable that there would be more Republican hawks that denied themselves the privilege of marching off to war. As much as I'm sure they wanted to go, Dick Cheney had "other priorities," Newt Gingrich knew his time would be wasted performing in a clerical MOS, Bill Bennett didn't see service as a winning bet, Ann Coulter was still Matt Drudge, Sean Hannity didn't like his look in short hair, Ken Starr had a skin condition, Saxby Chambliss looked for other avenues to build up his resume of patriotism, Rush Limbaugh wouldn't have survived basic training, Tom Delay tended to vector control on the home front and Karl Rove just couldn't accept "don't ask, don't tell." Service isn't something you perform, it's something you talk about.

Horrible, degrading people for stating their mind and excercising their freedom at the same time. I am sure people who proclaim Republicans as chickenhawks also claim Bush as a Fascist and compare him to Hitler. Well when you say agreeing with the Iraq Conflict means you should be over there, that is somewhat hypocritical, your saying because you think one way, you should be fighting. I guess my 70 year old grandpa should be over there fighting too.
